Airtel is topper in download speeds; jio leads in 4g availability

Airtel's average speed in 4G is 10Mbps. The average speed of Vodafone and Idea is 9.7 and 9.2 respectively.




Airtel network has the fastest download speeds in India, according to the Open Signal Mobile Network Experience report. Airtel has a speed of 9.6 Mbps. Vodafone Idea is in 2nd position. Reliance Jio is the leading provider of 4G network access in the country. 

Airtel recorded 9.6 Mbps speed on 3G and 4G networks. At the forefront, this time it is less than one Mbps from the previous report. Idea and Vodafone had download speeds of 7.9 and 7.6 respectively. Both firms have made great strides in this sector.

Airtel's average speed in 4G is 10Mbps. The average speed of Vodafone and Idea is 9.7 and 9.2 respectively. Although the 4G network is the largest provider, the average download speed on the Jio network is only 6.7 Mbps.

In terms of 3G network, BSNL is top. BSNL's 3G download speed is 3.1 Mbps. The second is the Vodafone Idea with 2.8Mbps and the third position is the Airtel. 

Jio is the leading provider of 4G services with 97.8% 4G network. Airtel is on the rise with 90%. Idea's score is 89.7% on 4G. Vodafone owns 87.9. 

Idea is the fastest upload, with 3.2Mbps. Vodafone has 3.1Mbps, Airtel has 2.4Mbps and Jio has 2.1Mbps. BSNL has only 0.9 Mbps upload speed. 

Airtel is the best network to watch video online. Airtel in this category gives an open signal of 53 out of 100. Vodafone has 48, Idea has 47.1 and Jio has 46.

All the telecom companies are lagging behind the voice call excellence through applications. That means that all telecom companies are lagging behind voice call quality through apps like WhatsApp  Skype and Facebook Messenger, according to the Open Signal report.
