Google Pixel 4 face unlock security issue; It takes months to fix

One of the key features that Google highlighted when launching the Pixel 4 phone was its face unlock. But within days of its launch, Google was blaming the Face Unlock feature. The Pixel 4 can unlock the phone even though its eyes are closed. That means someone else can easily unlock your phone with a Face ID while you sleep. Google has agreed to solve this problem.

Google says that this issue will be resolved in the next software update but it will take some time. Google said it was working on a system that could only unlock the eyes when it was opened and that in the coming months, it would be available on a phone with a software update. Face unlock on the Pixel 4 is similar to the face unlock system of the iPhone. Its function is to identify the face structure using infrared projectors and camera. Therefore it cannot be confused with the image of the face. But with the Apple Face ID system, you need to look at the phone screen and keep your eyes open.

Users can also opt-out of this requirement. Surprisingly, Google has forgotten to make the Pixel 4 phone a basic safety precaution in the Face Unlock system, which does not allow unlocking if the eyes are closed. Meanwhile, the Face Unlock settings have been released with the tag 'Require eyes to be open'. But this is not the case with the phones featured in the Pixel 4 presentation. It may not even have phones coming to the market this week. Pixel 4 can identify if you are looking at the screen. The screen attentive feature of this screen turns off the screen every time you don't look at it. But this possibility is not used in the unlock system.
